Our national conference
A national academic conference since 2019 — RCS Ed CPD-accredited, and a growing collaboration between four organisations.
About the conference
Collaboration is at the heart of our ethos — embracing all that aligns with our commitment to improving training, leadership and excellence in care, both in the UK and beyond.
Our first conference was held in 2019. In 2020 it became a collaboration between Bangladesh Rural Primary Health Initiative (BRPHI) (opens in a new tab) and Bangladeshi Doctors in the UK, and it has since grown into a collaboration between four organisations. In 2025, 140 oral presentations were selected from more than 200 submissions, and the conference has been awarded RCS Ed CPD accreditation in recent years — a reflection of the calibre of the academic programme our organising committee puts together.

Supporting and highlighting exceptional initiatives
In 2024 and 2025 we invited leaders of Planetary Health Academia to update delegates on the trans-Atlantic training institute, which also holds an international conference in Bangladesh every two years.
